Social media has been widely accepted as one of the most important forms of communication today. Shockingly enough, some of the biggest conversations occurring today are happening on platforms like Twitter.
In the most recent major discussion held on Twitter, Elon Musk and Puerto Rico’s Governor Ricardo Rossello traded tweets back and forth in regards to having Tesla build a solar power based grid large enough for the island.
“The Tesla team has done this for many smaller islands around the world, but there is no scalability limit, so it can be done for Puerto Rico too. Such a decision would be in the hands of the PR govt, PUC, any commercial stakeholders and, most importantly, the people of PR,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
Upon hearing this, Rossello tweeted Musk saying they should discuss this opportunity and potentially use Puerto Rico as a flagship project to help Tesla show that it can in fact scale up its solar power grid to power larger regions.
Musk and Rossello seem to be in agreement that some discussions should be had regarding this potential project, and this partnership could be an important step to helping rebuild Puerto Rico while proving Tesla has the technology to bring its solar power grids to larger places.
